God doesn't give children with special needs to strong people; He gives children with special needs to ordinary, weak people and then gives them strength. Raising a child with special needs doesn't TAKE a special family, it MAKES a special family.

Worried....
Something is wrong with Matthew. What it is, I don't know. Since Thursday he's been screaming, extremely jittery and acting very weird. No one seems to know what's wrong with him. I've been to the doctor on Thursday, had tests to check his shunt on Friday. I've talked with his epileptologist Thursday, Saturday and today. No one seems to know what's wrong. The biggest thing that has been going on is we have been decreasing one of his seizure medications, so we thought that was the problem. But we've given him big doses of it, and it doesn't seem to be the problem. I don't get nervous often with Matthew; I'm actually very comfortable (often more than the doctors) with him...but not right now. I've actually toyed with just packing him up and taking him to the hospital, but the good neurologists are 6 hours away...that's a big ER trip. So the doctors are going to conference about Matthew tomorrow. Hopefully we'll get something figured out.

*more hugs* We'll be adding our prayers too!
We'll be thinking of Matthew! I hope he is back to his happy self soon, and that you can get some relief from the worry! Keep us posted! *hugs*
Sorry to hear about this. I saw Steve and the kids leaving church early on Sabbath -- and Ron mentioned something about Matthew being very fussy -- screaming. Wish there was something someone could do. Keep us posted -- and until then -- just know we are praying, too!
Oh, poor guy! And poor you too! We will be praying. Please keep us updated!
I hate that feeling and knowing something is wrong but nobody has any answers. Just know that we are praying and keeping Matthew in our prayers.
Diane, tyler's mom
