God doesn't give children with special needs to strong people; He gives children with special needs to ordinary, weak people and then gives them strength. Raising a child with special needs doesn't TAKE a special family, it MAKES a special family.

We're back home!
Well, Matthew had a pretty good night. He slept well with the tylenol in minimal pain. Dr. Azarow, the pediatric surgeon, came through and wanted to do surgery on him today; but we he called surgery scheduling, there were no open spot. They could try to squeeze him in, but wih the GREAT possibility he would get bumped. This was going to be considered an elective surgery since the bowel was not strangulated and anything emergent would have bumped him. He didn't want him to be NPO (nothing to eat or drink) that long if he got bumped for many hours; so he recommended scheduling it for next week. So we will go back to Children's on Tuesday and his surgery is at 9 am. He will need to stay overnight and then be able to go home Wednesday. We have the ALL POWERFUL tylenol in case he should become in pain more. :) Here's hoping to have a quiet, restful weekend.

glad tylenol is all powerful.
That's great that just Tylenol is going to be carrying him through until he can get this fixed.
That poor little guy! I hope that he does OK. We'll be thinking of you :)
