Baby Soldatke is here

Matthew Owen Soldatke was born on May 20th at 12:42 p.m So sorry I didn't get anything uploaded on the internet yesterday. It was a busy day and I was not feeling the best. But he is worth every bit of it! He is SOOO cute. I am in love!! He is having his shunt surgery as we speak. He seemed a little uncomfortable and I think he probably has a headache. I'm extremely tired, so I'm just going to post his stats and pics and I'll type more later.

Hi Jill, you are amazing to get pictures up so soon after a c-section. When I had Kim that way I could never have done it. I've swiped a few and put on the Smith-Shumaker blog so our friends can see their cute new nephew. We wish you God's blessing as you start a new journey with little Matthew.

I had to laugh at your apology for not getting anything posted yesterday...it's not like you just had major surgery or something...oh wait you did!! :o) hehehe I think EVERYONE understands :o). Your little guy looks amazing!! I am so glad they could get to his shunt surgery so soon. You truly are amazing to keep us all posted when it's only been hours since your surgery and the birth of your son! We love the updates but if you can't post for a bit we all will understand. Lots of prayers and love!!

The "house" hunt is going slow. We've looked mostly at just apartments because renting a house is out of our price range. Let me tell ya...it's difficult looking at apartments after coming from living in a 2800 sq ft house that we had out in Indiana!! I keep telling myself that someday we'll be able to afford a house again. But even though it may not be much space it'll be nice to have our own place again!!
